Why Networked AV Instead of a Traditional Matrix?

A traditional AV matrix requires a dedicated cable from every source to the matrix and from the matrix to every display. Adding one screen means new cabling. AV over IP changes the architecture: each source becomes an encoder on the network, each display becomes a decoder, and routing happens in software. Scaling from 8 screens to 200 screens means adding endpoints, not rebuilding the cabling infrastructure.

What is AV over IP and how does it differ from a traditional AV matrix?
AV over IP (AVoIP) distributes audio and video over a standard Ethernet network instead of dedicated point-to-point matrix cabling. Each source becomes an AV over IP encoder, each display becomes an AV over IP decoder, and routing is done in software. A traditional matrix needs dedicated cabling from every source and to every display; an IP-based AV system scales by adding endpoints to the existing network.
What is the difference between QG-FBST52K and QG-FBST5K?
Both are ADHOOPU AV over IP encoders. The QG-FBST52K is the primary encoder model in the current line, and QG-FBST5K is the 1GbE variant. The decoder equivalents are QG-FBSR52K and QG-FBSR5K. Recommended model depends on resolution, latency and network requirements — we confirm the right pairing per project.
Does AV over IP support KVM for control rooms?
Yes. ADHOOPU AV over IP endpoints support KVM over IP and distributed KVM, letting operators at a control room KVM position control remote machines while also viewing distributed video. This is standard for command center KVM and security operations deployments.
How many screens can one system support?
Because routing is software-based on the network, scalable AV distribution means the practical limit is the network design rather than the switching chassis. Projects scale from a handful of rooms to hundreds of endpoints across multiple buildings. Add AV over IP encoders or decoders as the site expands.
What latency should I expect?
