Each decoder drives one panel of a 4K video wall — any source, any layout, with sub-second switching.
Each lobby / floor display gets a decoder pulling live signage, dashboards or TV channels.
Multi-modality imaging on every OR display; KVM returns from radiology PACS.
Multi-view monitor walls, talent monitors, confidence monitors — all decoded from a central switch.
Real configuration: QG-FBST52K encoder feeding QG-FBSR52K decoder over standard 1GbE network. Watch IMC functions — signal switching, KVM, video wall, recording.
For basic point-to-point (one encoder to one decoder) no. For matrix switching (any-to-any) and video wall layout, the QG-FBST52K / QG-FBSR52K controller is required. The controller is free with a project license.
Yes — the QG-FBST5K / FBSR5K pair uses the same control protocol. Backwards-compatible with all existing QG distributed deployments.
End-to-end glass-to-glass latency at 1080p60 is typically 70–90 ms — visually indistinguishable from direct cable for video wall, signage, classroom and meeting room use. For broadcast-grade production switching, our direct-fibre QG-4U1616 is recommended.
